I have fallen in love with Sea Glass Spray Paint! It gives a perfect sea glass look and makes it easy to turn plain glass jars and vases into coastal decor pieces. This Coastal Jar Makeover with Sea Glass Paint took about thirty minutes to complete. Most of that time was just letting the paint dry. I may never toss out another glass jar again!
Krylon spray paint is always my favorite spray paint. It goes on smoothly and dries quickly. This Sea Glass Spray Paint in aqua did not disappoint! I’m not sure how long I’ve had this jar. It was one that Gloria was going to send to Goodwill, but I pulled it out and put it in my stash of “maybe I’ll do something with this.” It has a silver lid, but I left the lid in the stash box. I never know if I’ll find a use for it.
I gave the jar one coat of paint and this is how it turned out! I love the color and the sea glass look goes so well with my coastal decor.
I added a strip of rope near the top. It’s tied off into a knot on one side. A small dot of hot glue is keeping it in place.
It’s holding a LED 3 inch pillar candle.
Using a thin piece of twine, a few small shells are tied to the rope. The shells had small holes that made it easy to run the twine through them.
I love the soft glow of the light and how it looks with the shells and drift wood in the tray.
It goes perfectly with my coastal dishes on our breakfast nook table. The tray is one that I’ve had for a while that recently got a copper makeover along with some thrift store finds.
